Wacky Weekend Continued
My week had been a constant running. The training for the Pilot Census was on its way and I needed to take care of every single details and also prepare myself for actually giving 30 people a thorough traning before they go out in the field. You can imagine how happy I was to hear about the long weekend coming up ... that is until I realized it was Youth Explosion Weekend and that menat my mothers place was going to be the center of activities. And yes, you guessed right! I will find myself engaged in some type of Youth Explosion task force. Besides my nephews birthday was on saturday and his was going to be a big one. Let's see if you are going to be as exhausted as I am after reading my lsit of activities:
Thursday Night:
- make 36 games of kwartet and wrap them with ribbons. I was half way through when I was told I needed to add the instructions as well.
- Go to bed at 1.30 AM
Friday:
- leave the house at 8:00
- go to Bank A
- go to Bank B
- go buy cooking gas
- get groceries
- get home, and leave immediately to go find 800 white handkerchiefs and balloon
- pick up one person
drop off another
- pick up same person again
- do some more groceries
- make 65 party packages
- pick up first food of the day
- get home only to be told to pick up my cousihng from the airport
- finally sit down to eat around 6PM
- lie down for 1 hour
- go to the movies to watch For Colored Women (nive movie I definitely recommend it)
- sleep about 12:00 AM
Saturday:
- leave home about 8:00
- pick up sister
- get the cake
- clothes shopping for the kids
- clothes shopping for the adults (one has to look good at the party)
- prepare snacks
- thunderstorm hits
- cancel party
- go out in the rain to put up sign
- organize last-minute party
- pick up kids
- pick up food to take to St. Maarten
- take snacks and drinks to new party venue
- pick up Dad
- help set-up
- party
- go home and shower
- find someone to go to Shaggy
- jump in car and drive to Shaggy
- scream and dance for 90 minutes
- go home and collapse
Next time more on Shaggy ... They don't call him Mr. lover cause he likes ice cream, they call him Mr. Lover cause he fulfills my dreams ....
