Water Adventures
In the last week I have had so many different water stories that they warrant a post.
Saturday
I got the keys to my new place on Friday naturally I set out on Saturday to start doing some cleaning. This plan came about on the Saturday morning when I was still fresh and fruity. By the afternoon I was exhausted from all the errands I had to do but still I couldn't put it off.
Armed with buckets and brushes and all kinds of sprays I set out to tackle the bathrooms first. I started out with my small guest bathroom. Water flowed like kids playing in the garden on a rare sunny summer day. Half an hour later I emerged wet but satisfied to go to the next assignment.
As soon as I turned the corner the sight of a lake in my main bedroom greeted me. The whole room was full of water. What in the world! I checked everywhere but I couldn't see where the water could possible be coming from. Behind me was dry so it couldn't have been the water ballet I just danced. It couldn't be coming from the main bathroom because that was dry as well.
Tuesday
Remember how much fun you used to have as kids. Watching my niece and nephews run around and squeal of laughter just because. Somewhere along the way we loose that innocence and start bitching about birthdays and rain. Fun becomes a mandatory thing and we forget to enjoy moments. So Tuesday afternoon I went on the balcony and I danced in the rain.
Wednesday
It's three in the afternoon and it is dark outside. Lightning and thunder are playing tag outside. Rivers of water are running where there never was water before. And I am waiting for the Disaster Management Team to tell us that we can go home.

tell me - what had flooded your bedroom?
ReplyDeleteThe previous renter forgot to plug the heating pipe. Took his heater with him and forgot to plug the pipe.
ReplyDeleteActually I am sure it was a woman as the bedrooms are painted purple and blue.
